European digital road freight forwarder sennder has appointed Kuehne + Nagel’s Nicholas Minde (pictured above) as its new general manager for the DACH [Germany, Austria and Switzerland] region.
Currently K+N’s senior VP of road logistics Germany, Mr Minde will take up his new role on 1 August to lead sennder’s daily operations in its home market of Germany.
Mr Winde’s career spans 20 years in logistics, including various roles at DHL and K+N, and joins a growing leadership team of general managers who run sennder’s seven European offices.
Since it was founded in 2015, sennder has grown into an organisation with over 840 employees.
Mr Minde said: “There’s an ongoing requirement for the logistics market to adapt and digitalise at an incredible speed. I’m delighted to join a positively disruptive company in sennder that is building an offering benefiting carriers, shippers and the transportation industry.
“Through leveraging modern technology, sennder has the potential to revolutionise the way our industry works; also helping make transport fit for a sustainable future.”
Sennder chief operating officer Tom Christenson added: “The combination of Nicholas’s strategic leadership and more than 20 years of operational experience will be a huge asset to our team.”
