HHLA’s subsidiary Metrans has acquired the company which operates the trimodal container terminal in the Austrian port of Krems on the Danube. The company was taken over from Mierka Donauhafen Krems GmbH & Co. KG. The terminal will now provide a direct link between the German seaports and the economic region of Lower Austria.
