Lothar Thoma (pictured above) has assumed responsibility for the air and sea freight forwarding division of Gebruder Weiss, joining Wolfram Senger-Weiss, Peter Kloiber and Jurgen Bauer on its management board.
Mr Thoma joined the company in September after five years as chief executive of Swiss freight forwarder Militzer and Munch, replacing freight forwarding managing director Heinz Senger-Weiss who resigned this month.
Born in Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany, 52-year-old Mr Thoma has been working in the logistics industry for more than 20 years, holding various executive positions with international transport and logistics companies.
