A rather nice round up of what retailers and supply chain managers should keep in mind for 2014 after the US’s rather haphazard holiday sales period. The first thing, IT security, is essential – some 70 million consumers were said to be affected by the security breach at Target. But other issues, such as that capacity is finite and that the chain is only as strong as the weakest link, result in the lesson that guaranteed delivery is a joint network responsibility.
