Footwear sourcing: China’s loss is Vietnam’s gain

China is losing out in the footwear manufacturing market to Vietnam, where production is seeing double-digit increases. According to research by the US footwear industry on sourcing, Vietnam is benefiting from a large and young labour market and lower costs. Chinese factories reported that the cost of raw materials and wages were their biggest problems.
