Another personnel departure from DSV Panalpina, this time to the benefit of Hellmann Worldwide.

From March, Panalpina’s chief executive Asia Pacific, Sven Raudszus, will become Hellmann’s regional chief executive Asia Pacific, including Australia and New Zealand. He will take over from 30-year veteran Mark Hellmann, who has decided to “pass on the leadership role to the next generation”.

Mr Raudszus has been in logistics for 25 years, holding various management positions in Asia.

“We are very pleased to have won Sven Raudszus for the position of regional CEO Asia Pacific,” said Reiner Heiken, chief executive, Hellmann Worldwide Logistics.

“He brings profound industry knowledge, but also valuable regional experience and expertise on board. The economic area Asia Pacific is a strategically important market for us, which we want to continue to expand in the region.”

Earlier this month it was revealed that Hellmann was undergoing a management re-shuffle and had eliminated the chief operating officer role. Instead it installed a new global head of ocean freight, Marcus Leaver, who joined from DB Schenker at the beginning of the year.
