“This whole e-tail thing could be as big as China’s accession to the WTO,” one logistics analyst confided to The Loadstar earlier this week. At the forefront is Amazon, which has gone from selling books to selling just about everything. However, in order to remain cost competitive, it has to find new way to trim supply chain costs – and one recent tactic is setting up warehouse operations within the warehouses of product suppliers.
