Amazon Air is expanding its Chicago operations, Air Cargo News reports. An additional 120,000sq ft will be taken by the e-commerce giant at Chicago Rockford International. The airport will pump $11m into developing the new facility for Amazon, and it should become operational by next July. The gateway also recently completed a $10m project to expand the number of parking spaces for Amazon’s aircraft, from three to eight.
Amazon has also announced it is to open a regional air hub at Fort Worth Alliance Airport, which will include sortation facilities and infrastructure for multiple daily flights, reports Dallas Business Journal.
