One of the revolutionary aspects of e-commerce is that if consumers can’t get to the market, the market can take itself to its customers. Currently, the sales of South Korean companies make up just 1% of foreign sales to Chinese consumers. But that is set to change after Alibaba announced its Cainiao logistics operation would set up in the country to encourage direct Chinese purchasing from South Korean retailers.
