It’s well known that the integrators have been gearing up for this year’s Christmas peak after the disastrous congestion they suffered last year. But 2014/5 may not bring good tidings to UPS which could face a strike in its busiest time. UK union Unite is balloting members, who they say are subjected to too much work and “institutional bullying”. While the actions of Unite members would not close down UPS, Unite argues that it could still do some damage and allow UPS’s competitors the advantage.
