French shippers re-think logistics as rail strike continues

French rail services continue to be at a standstill as a strike by SNCF workers goes into its sixth day, leaving shipments stranded. Initially believing the strike would last just one or two days, shipper groups are now looking at re-routing freight by road. But with the French holiday season just around the corner, congestion is proving to be a problem too.
