Nobody would want to try getting freight out of Germany today. With AirCargo Germany’s operations temporarily suspended, Lufthansa Cargo would have been in a perfect position to take on its shipments. But on Friday, Lufthansa ground staff called for a one-day strike today. This strike, unlike previous ones, will have a significant effect on cargo, as the carrier has cancelled the vast majority of its long-haul flights as well as short haul.
