Whack, whack whack: it's my winter almanac
Goodbye 2022 … uh oh, here comes 2023
Interesting article from Forrester on the four phases of coronavirus strategy – but it makes it sound like a miserable game of snakes and ladders, for those of us with inept governments anyway. (“If Phase Three is mismanaged by companies, states and the federal government, we will not drop back to Phase Two — we will loop back to Phase One and start the process from the beginning.”)
That aside, it projects what consumers and businesses will be able to do, and when. Europe and the US are currently in Phase Two, but Phase Three, where the “real game will be played”, will come mid-May and last through to the end of the year and into 2021. This involves “pandemic management protocols, ways of working, travelling, congregating, eating, moving and connecting will have to be constructed and maintained by governments, companies, schools and all organisations in society.”
Better get prepared now is the message, or we all slide down the snake back to the start.
