One of the longest-running disputes between dock labour and port management might be nearing its conclusion after both the Maritime Union of New Zealand and Ports of Auckland have signalled their willingness to enter into a new collective bargaining agreement. The tension has been running since September 2011, although most of the rolling strikes have been largely absent from the port since last April.
