There’s only a week to go. Will there be yet another last minute reprieve – or will the US east and Gulf coast ports close for business at midnight next Wednesday, at significant cost to the now shrinking US economy? Carriers are encouraging customers to get their house in order – get all loads at the terminals picked up as soon as possible, and return empty containers and chassis.
