Neale Proctor has joined West African shipping agency OMA Group on a permanent basis, having taken up a consultancy position earlier this year.
Gary Miller, OMA Group managing director, said Mr Procter’s initial focus would be on the further development of the firm’s general agency business along the West African coast.
Prior to joining OMA, Mr Procter was responsible for GAC’s Turkmenistan operation, where he managed its marine services operation in the Caspian Sea and looked after a fleet of 19 offshore support vessels.
He began his shipping career as a seafarer on tankers and anchor handling tugs, and spent a decade at sea. He has since had roles in Dubai, Indonesia and West Africa.
