Three private security firms have been giving the go-ahead by the US Transportation Security Administration (TSA) to implement canine-led air cargo screening at airports across the US. Freightwaves reports that dog screening can “dramatically” reduce acceptance times at cargo facilities, in turn reducing detention times and speeding up shipment processing. This will come as joyous news for several major airports across the country, notably New York’s JFK and Chicago’s O’Hare.
