Lufthansa Cargo is to expedite the phasing-out of its MD-11F fleet, no doubt owing to poor market conditions. CargoForwarder reports exclusively that the carrier will ground the aircraft by the end of next year, leaving it with a uniform 777 freighter fleet. The carrier currently operates seven 777s and markets two more for joint-venture AeroLogic. Another 777 is delivering shortly. The carrier has also announced several route changes, including pulling out of Guangzhou.
