Korea’s Lim Ki-tack elected as IMO secretary-general

The president of the world’s sixth largest container port, Busan in South Korea, was yesterday voted into the top UN job in shipping: to run the International Maritime Organization (IMO), dealing with such thorny topics as ship emissions, ballast water management systems and piracy… Maritime CEO interviewed Lim Ki-tack in May here, where he listed his ambitions for the job.
