Keith Saunders has been named the new managing director of Modern Terminals Ltd (MTL) Hong Kong container terminal operations.
The company said he would “lead Modern Terminals’ brand promises initiatives in Hong Kong, especially in the areas of operational excellence, innovation and infrastructure development”.
Mr Saunders has been involved in the terminal operating business for about 30 years, and joins MTL after holding a number of senior management positions in American President Lines’ (APL) terminal business, principally focusing on APL’s US west coast terminal, rail and cargo management operations.
Before joining APL, he was involved in the development of port security systems with Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC).
