The Loadstar’s story last week on the potential creation of Amazon Logistics & Transportation was one of most read, and today sees this follow-up blog, posted by supply chain consultant Cathy Roberson, who argues that to some extent the company already qualifies as a logistics provider. Its 23 sorting centres, in which some 30,000 robots are deployed, have managed to lower shipping costs, while its full ownership of Colis Prive in France, means it already engages in last-mile deliveries.
