UPS’s attempts to merge with TNT rumble on. According to the Wall Street Journal, UPS has until midnight tonight to submit a set of concessions to the EU authorities in a bid to appease the Competition Commission. It is believed that the express operator will need to open its air and truck network to competitors – and that talks are underway for a fourth entrant into the market to ensure more competition. It begs the question: how much will UPS consider giving up before walking away from the deal?
