Longshore union charged $60,000 for work slowdown in Portland

A judge has ruled that the ILWU encouraged members to disrupt port activities in Portland, where the container terminal now has virtually no cargo after Hanjin tired of congestion and withdrew from the port this month. The union has, however, brushed off criticism, saying the fine was “standard procedure”.
