Russian carrier UTair found itself in serious financial trouble following Russian’s annexation of Crimea, and the ensuing problems with sanctions, the closure of Ukrainian airspace and wild currency fluctuations. It now appears that these problems have affected its suppliers, with many forwarders that have transported aircraft components claiming they are owed hundreds of thousands of euros, which has led many to highlight the impact of sanctions on business.
