I’ve been crafting a comprehensive, albeit preliminary, spreadsheet after the last carrier of the lot, CMA CGM, reported its interims on Friday. Comparing H1/Q2 21 numbers for three of the five leading container shipping firms – CMA CGM vs Maersk vs Hapag-Lloyd – with an eye to the third quarter ending in four weeks’ time, it’s blatantly easy to spot meaningful differences in their grand achievements.
