Poor mental wellbeing among ships’ crews stranded at sea, has been cited as a possible reason for an alleged murder last week on the MSC Ravenna.

A Filipino crew member was reported as being stabbed 17 times as the ship was en route from China to Long Beach. On Monday, after arrival at Los Angeles, another crew member was charged with murder. The case is expected to shine more light on the plight of seafarers.
