Snapshot: Port volumes as muddy as hell
Preliminary port throughput data for the world’s largest 25 container ports is now published.
A comparison of Belgian and Dutch ports. Rotterdam is busiest, with 12.3m teu throughput in 2016, but is growing more slowly than Antwerp – 1.2% last year against 4% at the Belgian container port, which handled 10m teu.
