Shippers are complaining that new domestic charges by Qantas has in some cases led to a 90% increase in costs. The carrier introduced new interstate freight arrangements on 1 November, but marron producers have had to stop using the service, opting for slower Australian Post instead. Shippers are now looking to avoid east coast markets and go internationally instead, according to this article.
