An interview with IATA boss Tony Tyler, at the CNS Partnership Conference, makes up for his lack of presence at IATA’s World Cargo Symposium. Here he talks to US Airforwarders Association chief Brandon Fried about the challenges facing the market, how airlines could help forwarders more with the move to electronic documentation, and the need to “get our act together”. No word on a possible replacement for cargo boss Des Vertannes, but the best bet at the moment seems to be on an internal promotion.
