Hapag-Lloyd captain fundraising for rescue ship in Mediterranean

A heart-warming story of a Hapag-Lloyd captain who could no longer live with the thought of thousands of refugees dying at sea. In May, he set up SOS Mediterranee, and is raising funds to charter or buy a 60-metre ship which can carry 400 people for up to two days. It will patrol the Mediterranean between Libya and Italy, with a crew from Médecins du Monde. You can click here to contribute.
