Despite the obvious infrastructural difficulties the country continues to face, e-commerce retailers nevertheless guarantee products will be delivered within a specified time frame, and the sudden spikes in demand are creating headache: “We cannot hire delivery boys for one week when the demand is high due to sales and then pay them salaries throughout the month, when there’s no work,” said one logistics firm.
