Davies Turner has appointed John Adams to head its ocean management team across India, the Middle East and South Africa.
Mr Adams re-joins the company he left seven years ago and will replace Todd Moore, who plans to retire.
During his time away from the UK company Mr Adams worked as business development manager for ocean liner MSC, before taking over as its national strategic accounts manager in 2014. Three years later he stepped up as senior manager for global and strategic accounts.
Davies Turner chairman Phillip Stephenson said: “John is an experienced senior manager with a strong sales record in ocean freight forwarding.
“As the UK’s leading independent forwarding company, we work in partnership with an extensive range of container shipping lines across the globe to deliver efficient, high-quality international ocean freight consolidation services.”
