Emirates SkyCargo has appointed David Harman as its cargo manager for Switzerland.
Mr Harman joins the Dubai-headquartered carrier from sister company Dnata, where he served has quality assurance manager in Switzerland. He brings more than two decades’ experience in the air freight sector, having previously held roles at Unilode, Unitpool, and Swissport.
Country manager for Emirates in Switzerland Juerg Mueller said: “His leadership qualities and extensive know-how of the industry make him the ideal candidate for the Emirates SkyCargo team in Switzerland.”
Mr Harman’s breakout role was as general manager in the UK and Ireland for Swissair Cargo, spending four years in the post from 1996. At the turn of the century, he became general manager for capacity management at Swisscargo before joining Swiss International Air Lines in 2002.
He replaces Nathalie Picaud who has taken over as Emirates’ head of pharma sales in Europe.
