Belgian forwarder Transuniverse is expanding its European footprint. It has acquired Ireland-specialist GC Trans and will also be offering groupage services in Spain.
Transuniverse board member Michel Nierinck said while it was only an SME, GC would bring value through its “extensive knowledge” of the Irish market.
“This acquisition fits in perfectly with Transuniverse Forwarding’s growth strategy, as part of which we are aiming to double our annual turnover to €100m by 2022,” he said.
