National seeks more 747-400Fs as charter clients demand nose-loaders
On-demand charters have proved pivotal in supporting B747 freighter operations at National Airlines Cargo – ...
Good article, originally by the WSJ, on why the latest, and unexpectedly timed, delivery of two 747-8Fs to AirBridgeCargo is bad news for Boeing. The aircraft were in fact “white-tails” – left over from a cancelled order. Worse still, Boeing Capital Corp, the manufacturer’s finance arm – which many would prefer not to exist – is leasing the aircraft to ABC. According to this article, ABC leases three aircraft from Boeing, as does SilkWay, which struggled with ExIm finance and had to turn to Boeing instead.
