    Loading cargo on the main deck of a passenger aircraft was purely a contingency measure. Continuing that practice riding on dream levels of cargo may make sense – not to sustain them when rates hit realistic levels. The higher unit cost of this option will force review of this option. Of course, regulatory permit will play a crucial role as well. Limitations on the types of cargo that could be carried in the main cabin ads to the complexity.
