Bimco’s (shipping industry association The Baltic and International Maritime Council) take on London International Shipping Week, which saw a whole array of events hosted in London last week – and much of it reflecting London’s heavy preponderance of insurers, lawyers and brokers. The real question for the Bimco columnist is whether the event did anything to raise the public profile of shipping, a notoriously difficult thing to measure.
