You’d be forgiven for supposing that the only way to make a small fortune in air freight these days is to start off with a large one.

The daily headlines, and results from big players like Panalpina and Kuehne + Nagel, make for belt-tightening reading.

Yet at least one forwarder – Germany’s Röhlig Logistics – gave us good news recently, although its numbers are not up to date ...
