My recent op-ed didn’t go down incredibly well with one the few chief laggards in container shipping, South Korea’s Hyundai Merchant Maritime (HMM), which was eager to have its say on a few points I briefly touched upon in my “on the wires” take this week.

In the name of transparency, it makes perfect sense to give the carrier the time to convey more thoroughly their views about the positives that their business plan brings, including new funding options.
