South African apples and pears shine on European market

South Africa is expecting a boost in apple and pear exports to Europe, buoyed by a weak rand and ‘perfect’ weather. Exports are up almost 40% to the UK, while exports of apples to continental Europe have risen nearly 50%. The country is looking for further business in China and is just waiting for approval.
