GEFCO Group has appointed Sabine Spielrein (pictured above) as its internal audit director, reporting to chairman Luc Nadal.
Ms Spielrein was most recently internal audit and control director at Dalkia, a maintenance and services company owned by France energy group EDF, where she gained experience in the industrial sector and working internationally, one of GEFCO’s major development areas.
Mr Nadal said: “I am very pleased Sabine is joining our team. I am confident that, thanks to her experience and talent, she will contribute significantly to our ongoing development and growth policy.”
She began her career as an auditor at Bristol-Myers Squibb France in 1994, following that with two years at KPMG as a consultant. In 1997, she joined Plastic Omnium as internal audit manager and held various positions in finance, including working on the creation of Inergy, a joint venture with Solvay. In 2002, she joined Dalkia.
Ms Spielrein said: “I am very happy to join the GEFCO group at a key moment of its development. Its ability to handle complex supply chains, to innovate in 4PL, its operational excellence and its international network are all recognised assets that make it the preferred partner of industrials, that always meets their specific needs.”
