“The freight forwarding sector had a tough end to 2019 after US seaborne imports fell by 7.1% year over year in Q4. Among the majors, only DB Schenker and DP-DHL saw growth with expansions of 8.7% and 1.8%, respectively, due to their reliance on European rather than Asian shipments. The big three all saw lower shipments including a 12.9% slide in volumes handled by Expeditors.” – Panjiva Research, 22 January 2020. (Emphasis in bold is mine)
