Norbert Dentressangle has become one of the 5 largest providers of airfreight transport management to Chile’s perishable export trade after entering the market just 18 months ago, according to Fruitnet.com. In December 2012, the company handled 1,500 tonnes of blueberries and cherries from Chile to the US, China and Europe, up almost 50 per cent on the previous year, prompting the company to charter two full Boeing 767s for the export of blueberries from Chile to Miami. The company says that it has developed strong relationships with major Latin American airlines such as LAN Chile and is now LAN’s largest customer for perishable airfreight from Chile to Miami and New York.
