An interesting little tale about how improved packaging technology has cut transport costs for a vegetable wholesaler. While the management adds that the new packaging, from an Australian company, seems “too good to be true”, it does appear to significantly extend the life of perishables ? thus allowing the shippers to switch from air to sea freight.
