When the €5.7bn blockbuster acquisition of Bolloré Africa Logistics* was completed by MSC in the aftermath of the pandemic (December 2022), quite a few executives in our marketplace expressed surprise that the Italo-Swiss carrier wouldn’t buy “the whole Bolloré lot” – including, that is, the forwarding operations of France’s Bolloré Logistics (BL) that were later sold to CMA CGM from Marseille.
