Hapag-Lloyd and Spinelli Group have today “entered into an agreement to join forces”.
The German carrier will acquire a 49% in Italian logistics group Spinelli from existing shareholders, while the Spinelli family will continue to hold a 51% majority stake.
Financial details of the deal are undisclosed.
The completion of the deal is subject to the approval of antitrust authorities, which is expected within the next few months.
