‘Gardening Club’ freight cartel participant Kuehne + Nagel fined $3.1m

Remember the Gardening Club? Not the trendy ’90s nightclub in London, but the one in which forwarders participating in cartel-like activities referred to their practices using a vegetable code?

Kuehne + Nagel, which had challenged the regulator’s jurisdiction, is now the last of six companies involved in the club to be fined. It must pay $3.1m, plus costs – bringing total fines to $11.95m.
