British cargo vessel sinks after North Sea collision

A collision between two cargo ships, the bulk carrier Polesie and general cargo ship Verity, in the North Sea, resulted in the sinking of the latter, a British ship, and a search for several missing people. The incident occurred in the early hours of this morning and is still unfolding, the UK Independent has updates.
