Europe’s all-freighter airlines might be struggling with high costs and low margins, but it appears to be a different story in Canada. This interesting article details how Canada’s CargoJet is gearing up to carry Christmas postal deliveries. A new contract with Canada Post will see it double in size over the holiday period – it has spent C$80m this year in investments so far. It is hiring 200 people and adding 10 aircraft to its fleet, and hopes to use its aircraft in the daytime and at weekends to boost its capacity. A good read.
