Waberer’s announced this week to have acquired the logistics operation of Budapest-based Gyarmati Trans Kft, a company “focusing on customers in the food industry”.
The Hungarian trucker said its 100%-owned subsidiary, WSZL Kft – “the dominant legal unit of RCL segment” – had signed earlier this month a purchase agreement to take over the logistics and domestic transportation activities of Gyarmati Trans Kft.
“The operation to be taken over focuses on refrigerated warehousing and transportation in Eastern Hungary, serving food industry (primarily meat) companies. Taking over the customer base of Gyarmati Trans Kft will generate over HUF 1 billion [$2.8m] annual revenue for RCL segment.
“Serving the new customers could be integrated to our existing operation with high efficiency that provides room for significant synergy opportunities compared to the size of the transaction. The transaction is subject to customary anti-trust clearance and is expected to close by the beginning of the third quarter of 2022,” it added.
